In authorization object, I think we can't assign the correct plant and purchasing group combination since it can only assign range of purchasing group values and plant values where user can have access but cannot assign correct combination.
I am looking for your suggestion to make validation in table for the purchasing area that is available in standard table. As you have said, purchasing area is available in standard table for any IS release. However, the IS we have is Oil and Gas Downstream, Oil and Gas PRA, and Oil and Gas Remote Logistics Management. May I ask what is the name of standard table you are talking about where the purchasing area can be seen for validation with purchasing groups assigned to it?
