Other then that...

In UDT you can make universe on single connection i.e on single database but in case of IDT you can make multisource universe i.e having more then 1 database connection to single universe.

IN UDT we can't use data foundation layer for another business layers like wise for IDT we can create the single data foundation & multiple business layers on top of this single data foundation.

Please let us know your requirements so that we can suggest you the best way you can use IDT or UDT.
