Launch pad or webi rich client?

Hi All,

I know from the title of my discussion u cannot get any idea what I am asking.

Some features are only available in launch pad like Document linking and some are only in webi rich client like changing source of the query.

My question is in real time projects do they generally have both the tools? Isn't it costly to have both the tools?
